Dawntreader are a powerful and dynamic Ceilidh Band (Barn Dance, Folk Band) with our own Caller.
Playing throughout Devon Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset and the South West of England. We have been providing Live Ceilidh / Barn Dance Music for Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Parties since 2009. Our mix of traditional folk music with strong melodies and powerful rhythms is ideally suited to Ceilidh and Barn Dances.
Dawntreader are a 3 piece Ceilidh Band playing Scottish, English, Irish, and some European
music.
Debs, our Caller has 15 yrs of experience in Calling for Ceilidh Bands and has
Dances to suit all abilities, including some fun Dances for the little ones. She
has been the resident Caller with the Dawntreaders since 2009, and has grown
with the Band into a highly professional Wedding Ceilidh Caller, although she is
equally at home with a local village hall Party.
With
Fiddle and Accordion led music backed by a driving Rhythm Guitar, our musicians Lynn, John and Mel
will keep you
dancing all night long.
The Band has Public Liability Insurance, and all our Electrical Equipment is
controlled within a PAT TEST Regime.
The Band has extensive experience in working with clients to customise our Ceilidh, Barn Dance package to suit the needs of their event. We draw on dances and music from across the UK, Europe and America to suit all abilities and taste. Once the evening has begun, Debs our Caller acts as M/C, so you do not have to worry about anything, other than enjoying yourself!
With over 60 years experience between us, we are the Band to pick for your Scottish, Irish, Celtic, English Ceilidh, or Barn Dance.
Our PA Equipment is available for hire both before your event and afterwards for your own playlists. This negates the need for a seperate 'DJ' if you were thinking of a follow on Disco to complete your event. We control the PA for levels etc, you control the content via your tablet/laptop etc.
The correct spelling is Ceilidh, but other common spellings are kaley, kaylee, caylee, calee, kayleigh, ceili, ceilidhe, kylie.
